Stuff Toy Doll “Thaki” (Trademark)
Playing with dolls has been a favorite past time for children across state and cultural boundaries. Children dress up dolls and engage in story telling with a miniature collection of kitchen and household items. In turn such games foster creativity and interaction amongst children.
From hundreds of years little girls and boys have used handmade wooden dolls to play imaginative games. Such dolls are rarely available in this day and age. With the advent of internet and online games, parents have expressed a void in opportunities for their children to interact with each other. Inspired with this tradition, Shaila Abhyankar a master craftsman believes “Thaki” (soft toy doll) and her friends can fill this void by enabling interaction amongst kids.
“Thaki has open arms because she is ready to hug you. Thaki desires to hear your stories and wishes to embark on adventures with you. ”
Thaki is sewn by hand of cotton fabric. Her face is painted by hand, and her body is stuffed with hypoallergenic synthetic material. Thaki is washable by hand or a delicate machine wash cycle. Thaki is available in various sizes (4 inches to 24 inches) with accessories (e.g. traditional and modern costumes, hair styles, jewelry, miniature household items, etc. ). Thaki is an excellent toy or gift that can be personalized and customized (e.g. birthday parties, Bhatukli (doll marriages), school events, etc.)
